Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Los Angeles

2025 isn’t being kind to cultural celebrations and ‘party’ holidays. Just last month, St. Patrick’s Day fell on a Monday, and Cinco de Mayo is no different. The good news is that there are many ways to celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Los Angeles over an extended period. Here’s a few suggestions:

Fiesta Broadway: Downtown Los Angeles

The largest Cinco de Mayo celebration is right here in Downtown Los Angeles. It’s called Fiesta Broadway, and they’ve been celebrating Latin American culture since 1990. Look for live music, dance shows, food vendors, and traditional folkloric displays. Talent includes Conjunto Azabache, Natalia Jimenez, and Banda Reyna Maria. This event takes place on Sunday, April 27th from 11am to 6pm. Admission is free!

Venice Beach: Historical Venice Cinco de Mayo Parade and Festival

This annual event takes place on Saturday, May 3rd from 10am to 6pm. The parade begins at the intersection of Lincoln and California. Enjoy dancers, bands, classic cars, piñatas, and amazing food trucks.

Los Angeles Cinco de Mayo Bar Crawl

Enjoy non-stop party vibes with 499 of your closest friends. Live DJs will be spinning Latin and party beats throughout the crawl. Venues include The Queensberry, The Association, and Bar CDMX. This event will take place in DTLA, near The Crypto Arena. More information can be found on Eventbrite.

A visitor can also visit Olvera Street, just across from Union Station in DTLA. Some of their buildings date back to the early 1800s. It’s a bustling marketplace with restaurants, live music, and significant cultural history that celebrates the birthplace of Los Angeles.

Enjoy this anticipated day safely over the weekend. Obviously, more Monday holidays are coming up with Memorial Day and Labor Day. However, we’ve got the 4th of July and Halloween both landing on a Friday!
