Names like Chaplin, Pickford, Fairbanks, Crawford and Davis will take center stage. Many of the legendary studios are still around, but have changed names over the years. See the location of Harry Cohn’s Columbia Pictures. With the help of Frank Capra, Rita Hayworth and The Three Stooges, Columbia became a major player. Columbia was neighbors with Warner Bros. that produced the first talking feature film in 1927 with The Jazz Singer. WB eventually expanded and moved to their current location in Burbank.

Charlie Chaplin also had his studio in the neighborhood from 1917 to 1953. It would later become the location of various entities, including A&M Records, Red Skelton Studios and Jim Henson Studios.
