National Margarita Day

National Margarita Day is Saturday, February 22nd, 2025. It’s the perfect occasion to celebrate one of the most beloved cocktails in America. Whether you prefer it on the rocks, frozen, or with a unique twist, there’s a margarita out there for everyone.
In Los Angeles, some of our favorites include the flaming margarita at El Compadre on Sunset Blvd, known for its fiery presentation and bold flavors.

Another standout is the house or scratch margarita at El Coyote on Beverly Blvd. It’s a classic choice with a perfect balance of tequila, lime, and sweetness.
For those seeking a more refined experience, the Purista margarita at Gracias Madre on Melrose Avenue offers a sophisticated blend of lime, agave, orange citrus and salt.  You can choose classic or spicy and have it made with tequila or mezcal.

Don’t forget to eat! The salsa at El Comadre is perfect, and goes great with a classic two or three item combination. El Coyote has a great house-made albondigas soup, and is well-known for their Enchilada Howard which is named after one of their customers 90 years ago!

All of these venues are also local favorites for celebrities, adding an extra touch of glamour to your margarita experience. So, gather your friends, raise a glass, and toast to the joy of National Margarita Day!
El Coyote dates back to 1931. It is notable that on August 8, 1969, Sharon Tate and her friends had their last meal here. Shortly after, they were tragically murdered a few miles away on Cielo Drive. To this day, the “Sharon Tate booth” is still the most requested table at El Coyote.
Tour du Jour offers our Hollywood Chills tour, which emphasizes famous Hollywood scandals. This includes everything from the Manson murders to the Menendez case.
